Getting Your Home Ready For Spring

Spring is around the corner! Are you ready for the change of seasons? More importantly, is your home ready? Check out our tips to get your home in tip-top shape this spring.

Check Seals Around Windows and Doors

If the seals and caulking around your windows and doors sustained damage during the winter, you will need to have those repaired. Making sure your home is sealed up adequately will prevent moisture and vermin from sneaking into your home. As spring weather comes, an unsealed home may be more susceptible to these issues.

Clean Your Gutters

After freezing temperatures have subsided, it is important to clean out your gutters. Your gutters work to keep water from collecting on your roof and around your home’s foundation. If they are clogged from debris, they will not function properly. The spring will bring more leaves and debris, so it is important to prepare your gutter ahead of time. All throughout the year you should routinely check and clean your gutters of any blockages.

Powerwash Your Driveway

If your driveway is stained and grimy, it is a good idea to powerwash the sludge away. This will give your home a more polished appearance to any guests that visit. Giving your home a fresh appearance for the spring will attract positive attention!
